On March 8, the meeting for all teaching and administrative staff was held at B924 of Zhixin Building by the School of Mathematics, during which college work in 2019 was deployed. Dean Chen Zengjing, School Secretary of CPC Qu Mingjun and other members of the party policy leading group, and all teaching and administrative staff attended the meeting.

     Qu  Mingjun  first  extended  his  blessings  and  greetings  of  the  International Women's Day to all teaching and administrative staff. Then Qu Mingjun reported on the outstanding achievements of the school in various tasks in the year of 2018. He pointed out that during the crucial period of the college's historical transformation from being "big to strong" and under the guidance of the school's goal of accelerating the construction of the world-class mathematics discipline, the school should further follow the pace of school reform and development, clarify development ideas, change the work style and strengthen the management service. Ultimately, Qu Mingjun generally deployed various key tasks for the school in 2019, and emphasized the school safety work. He conveyed the important instructions of the central leading comrades on carrying out the safety work and the spirit of the national teleconference on school safety work; informed the accountability of the fire alarm incidents in the laboratory of the School of Chemistry; conveyed the spirit of the college's Party Building Conference held on March 5 and that of the college's Laboratory Safety Work Conference held on March 6; and conducted a comprehensive deployment of the school's potential safety hazard inspection and various safety tasks.

    At the meeting, the head of each division of the school proposed a work plan for 2019 and its specific implementation scheme for detailed work such as undergraduate and postgraduate education, enrollment, scientific research, international exchange, student ideological work, publicity, books and laboratories.

    Chen Zengjing made a summary speech at the  meeting. He encouraged tea-chers to firmly seize the development opportunity of the college and the school, and build "six first-class", that is, first-class party building, first-class disciplines, first-class talents, first-class scientific research, first-class teaching standard and first-class talents; each institute should give full play to the role of grassroots scientific research institutions, achieve new breakthroughs in laboratory construction and scientific research, and comprehensively promote stability in reform and development and various tasks to a new level, thus realizing the further development of the mathematics discipline.
