On a generalization of the Euler totient function

Abstract:

J. Kaczorowski defined the generalized Euler totient function(n,F) corresponding to a polynomial Euler product F. Let E(x,F)denote the error term in the asymptotic formula of the summatory function of(n,F). J. Kaczorowski proved that the mean square of E(x,F) has an asymptotic formula ifF satisfies GRH. We can prove a sharper asymptotic formula under GRH.

Speaker Introduction:

Zhai Wenguang is a professor and PhD supervisor at the School of Science, China University of Mining and Technology-Beijing. He is mainly engaged in the research on analytic number theory. He received his Doctor of Science degree from Shandong University in 1996 and was a postdoctoral fellow at Nagoya University in Japan from 2001 to 2003. He conducted many collaborative research projects at the University of Tokyo, Kyoto University, Nagoya University, the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Université de Lorraine, etc. He is currently a member of the editorial board of journals, such asAdvances in Mathematics,Pure and Applied Mathematics, etc. He presided over many national and provincial and ministerial research projects, and published more than 120 papers in international core journals.
